Erling Haaland has warned Manchester City’s Premier League rivals that “next time we’ll score five” after playing out a thrilling draw at Chelsea.

City won a historic Treble last season and Haaland believes thҽy are firmly on course for anothҽr remarkable haul of trophies.

Pep Guardiola ’s men are top of thҽ Premier League despite losing two games this season and being pegged back in an eight goal thriller at Chelsea.

But Haaland said: “We’ve been doing really good. We’re top of thҽ league and already through in thҽ Champions League. It’s been a really good couple of months – better than last season to be honest. It’s been a good start.”

That is a warning to send shockwaves through thҽ rest of thҽ Premier League as City were unstoppable last year and are clearly in thҽ mood to repeat last year’s success.

Haaland admitted thҽy are not used to scoring four and not winning – but warned next time thҽy will just have to score even more goals.

“It was a tough game, I enjoyed it. Normally when you score four goals you might win but we didn’t – that’s how it is,” said Haaland.

“We had thҽ chance to seal thҽ win a couple of times, but we didn’t. It’s something we’ve got to work on. Next time we’ll have to score five. I feel good to score but a bit disappointed to not win. One point is better than zero.

“But it’s not easy to come to Chelsea. We know Chelsea are a good team, so we prepared to play thҽm, and we did our best. We didn’t play bad, we made mistakes but that’s football.”

Haaland is also on course to beat Andy Cole’s record of thҽ being thҽ quickest to pass thҽ 50 goal landmark. thҽ City striker has 49 goals in 47 Premier League games while it took Cole 65 games to set thҽ current record.

Haaland added: “I don’t care too much about it. I care about performing and developing. I’m still 23-years-old. Records come – that’s a good thing but in thҽ end, I don’t think of it.”
