Manchester City head into uncharted territory this weekend as they look to stop the rot and avoid a fifth consecutive defeat when they host Tottenham Hotspur.

Four losses on the bounce is the worst run of Pep Guardiola’s managerial career, but a two-week pause in fixtures for the international break and the confirmation that the boss has signed a new deal will hopefully be the catalyst to turn things around.

Spurs are the visitors to the Etihad for Saturday’s tea-time Premier League clash, as City get the opportunity to avenge last month’s Carabao Cup defeat to Ange Postecoglou’s side, which began this recent barren run.

The international break appeared to come at a good time for City, as it allowed their injured and fatigued squad members time to recover, while it also gave the manager the opportunity to take stock an assess what has gone wrong recently.

And Guardiola’s reaction to the losing streak has not gone unnoticed by Haaland, who has outlined what the Catalan has been doing behind the scenes at City.
