Bosses at the Etihad Stadium have an ambition to secure Pep Guardiola to a new deal, according to a new report this week.
Guardiola’s long-term future beyond his current Manchester City agreement remains somewhat uncertain, with the club’s hierarchy insistent on their approach of not putting pressure on the side’s most successful ever manager to make a decision.
His current contract is set to expire in 2025 but the club’s owners are keen on securing his services for an extended period.
According to Football Transfers, there is an ambition within Manchester City to secure manager Pep Guardiola to a new deal, with his existing agreement expiring at the end of the 2024/25 campaign.
The Citizens are already locked in several top players with contracts running until 2027 or 2028, with Guardiola playing a significant role in those negotiations.
The report was shared on Twitter by City Xtra and it attracted plenty of attention from the club’s supporters.
