Manchester City’s director of football, Txiki Begiristain, will be leaving the club after 12 years, a departure that could coincide with manager Pep Guardiola’s contract expiring in June. Pundit Danny Murphy believes Guardiola has already made a decision regarding his future at City, suggesting he may stay despite Begiristain’s exit. Guardiola has overseen 483 games at City, winning multiple trophies including six Premier League titles and the club’s first Champions League trophy.

Despite reports that Begiristain’s departure will not impact Guardiola’s future, the manager has previously expressed interest in signing a contract extension, although he doesn’t expect to stay at City for another eight years.
