Manchester City are looking to continue their winning streak after their 2-0 victory over Chelsea by facing Ipswich Town in the Premier League this weekend. Despite missing key players like Rodri and some England Euro 2024 players starting on the bench, City put in a strong performance against Chelsea with goals from Erling Haaland and Mateo Kovacic.
Rodri, who has not yet returned to training, was absent against Chelsea, but Mateo Kovacic’s impressive performance filling in at midfield helped ease concerns. Although there are still worries about Rodri’s absence and injury, Pep Guardiola may have Ilkay Gundogan available for the upcoming match against Ipswich. Rodri, despite missing training, was nominated for PFA Players’ Player of the Year and praised his teammate Phil Foden’s abilities.
