Manchester City Fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays reports to yet another update on the Senegalese defender Kalidou Koulibaly’s potential move to the Etihad.
City are looking to complete the signing of Koulibaly this summer as they belatedly try to replace Vincent Kompany.
The Citizens have been negotiating with Napoli for several weeks over their asking price, with Aurelio de Laurentiis looking to make at least €90m after turning down €100m last summer.
Alfredo Pedulla as relayed by SSCNapoliNews recently reported that, City’s signing of Kalidou Koulibaly seems imminent, with reliable sources suggesting that there is a ‘good chance’ the deal will be completed soon, with both club finding a definitive agreement on bonuses, starting from a fixed base payment of €70M.
But According to Italian journalist Marco Giordano via Sport Illustrated, Manchester City are not making ‘concrete steps’ in their pursuit of Napoli centre-back Kalidou Koulibaly, however club’s officials or intermediaries involved in negotiations are pushing to lower the price.
While according to Gianluca Di Marzio via SSCNapoliNews, Napoli had an offer from for Koulibaly. but the agreement between both club didn’t come soon enough for the Serie A club to sign Gabriel – who will now agree to join Arsenal.
In reaction to the report shared on Twitter by Man City xtra , Manchester City fans as always have been expressing their thoughts and opinions.

Reading between the lines Assuming Napoli have shot themselves in the foot here thinking city would back down & they’d get more money & they haven’t so its cost Napoli there first choice replacement. Could be completely wrong though 🤷♂️😂— Skoosh82 (@skoosh82) August 22, 2020
