Chairman says he isn’t close to signing player from Man City despite reports

Manchester City have a history of loaning out their young players to other clubs, including James McAtee, Callum Doyle, and Luke Mbete. Recently, there were claims that City midfielder Jacob Wright had agreed to a loan deal with Peterborough United, but this was denied by the chairman of Peterborough, Darragh MacAnthony. MacAnthony stated that the claim was false and that Wright had not been considered for a loan.

Despite the denial, the possibility of Wright being loaned out still remains, especially considering City’s past loan connections with Peterborough. Wright has made appearances for City’s youth sides and even played for the senior team last season. As he remains part of City’s pre-season squad, it will be interesting to see if he does end up making a temporary move away from the club before the transfer window closes.
