England got off to a winning start at Euro 2024, beating Serbia 1-0 – but there has been criticism of Manchester City star Phil Foden.
Jude Bellingham grabbed the only goal of the game inside 13 minutes, powering in a brilliant header from Bukayo Saka’s cross from the right side.
England were brilliant in the first 30 minutes or so, with Serbia just unable to get near the Three Lions. But it was a completely different story in the second-half.
Englnd became sloppy, and Serbia really stepped up their game as they sought an equaliser.But England held on for an important win, setting them up nicely for the next game with Denmark.
Following last night’s game, there has been some criticism of Phil Foden – and Cesc Fabregas believes he needs to take a leaf out of Bellingham’s book.
