Manchester City executives want Pep Guardiola to sign a new long-term contract at the Etihad Stadium.
The 53-year-old is out of contract in east Manchester at the end of the 2024/25 campaign, with the potential for Saturday’s Emirates FA Cup Final at Wembley Stadium to mark the end of the Catalan’s penultimate season at Manchester City.
Guardiola has signed three previous contract extensions since moving to Manchester City from Bayern Munich in 2016, with the manager set to embark on his ninth campaign at the Etihad next season.
Both the Catalonian and senior midfield star Kevin De Bruyne are out of contract with the club next year, and despite Guardiola recently suggesting that his time in Manchester could be drawing to a close, club executives are reportedly planning to offer Guardiola a new long-term deal.
