Manchester City may face transfer approaches from Borussia Dortmund this summer as the Bundesliga team has contacted representatives of a player. The Premier League champions have already generated over £40 million through player sales, including Sergio Gomez joining Real Sociedad for €10 million with a 30 per cent sell-on clause.

Yan Couto has attracted interest from Borussia Dortmund, with reports indicating a valuation of around £40 million for the Brazilian international. Dortmund is reportedly looking to spend between €20 million and €25 million on Couto, who could imagine a transfer to the Bundesliga club. Manchester City seems content with their right-back options and may not seek a direct replacement for Couto if a sale occurs.

Kyle Walker and Rico Lewis are among the existing right-back options for Manchester City, with players like John Stones and Manuel Akanji also capable of filling in if needed. Pep Guardiola could utilize the defensive unit’s versatility to cover the right-back position in the event of Couto’s potential departure.
