Bernardo Silva has been teammates with both Erling Haaland and Kevin De Bruyne at Manchester City for several years. He praised Haaland’s mentality in always seeking goals and compared it to Cristiano Ronaldo’s drive. Silva also described De Bruyne as a “special player” and highlighted that Haaland has a more powerful shot than De Bruyne. Despite De Bruyne’s world-class shooting, Silva chose Haaland as having a more potent shot between the two players.
In terms of outside the box goals in the Premier League since the 2022/2023 season, De Bruyne has scored more than Haaland. De Bruyne has six goals to Haaland’s four, despite playing fewer league matches. While De Bruyne’s shooting may be statistically superior, Silva’s initial claim was about which player has a more powerful shot, rather than which is better overall. Silva rates both Haaland and De Bruyne highly, acknowledging their individual strengths in scoring goals from distance.
