Darwin Nunez has changed his agent as he looks to be trying to engineer a move away from Benfica, according to a report.

The 22-year-old striker has been linked with a move away from the Primeira Liga outfit in recent months, with Manchester City linked to the player for a long time.

According to Record (via Sport Witness), Darwin Nunez has switched agents in the hope of getting a big move to a top European club such as Man City.

The outlet says that several ‘less important’ clubs have registered an interest in the attacker but that he is ‘dreaming’ of a move to a team with a bigger profile.

Benfica, who have qualified for the Champions League quarter-finals, have set a price of €80M to let their prized asset go.

The Uruguay International has scored 26 goals in 33 games this season in all competitions.

It’s said City have been following Darwin for a long time, and Benfica shall not wait for the World Cup to see his price raise, meaning that if a good offers arrives in the summer, they’ll be ready to cash in with his sale.

This comes at a time when Manchester City are deemed City to be the frontrunners in the race to sign Erling Haaland from Borussia Dortmund when the 21-year-old’s release clause worth £63 million gets activated this summer.
