Bayern Munich are hoping to land Leroy Sane on the cheap, with the coronavirus pandemic expected to depress the football transfer market.
The German champions were strongly linked with Sane last summer, but a proposed move to the Allianz Arena broke down when the attacker suffered a serious knee injury in the Community Shield against Liverpool.
The 24-year-old’s current deal at the Etihad Stadium will expire next summer, and according to the Manchester Evening News, Bayern feel that they could sign him for a cut-price fee ahead of next season
The report claims that the Bundesliga outfit believe that the coronavirus pandemic will ‘depress the football transfer market’, making it easier for them to agree a smaller fee for the attacker.
Sane By the time the next window opens will have just a few months before his contract expires, and he could leave City for nothing.
