Manchester City acquired winger Savinho from Troyes last month, with the Brazilian impressing in La Liga while on loan at Girona. Pep Guardiola praised Savinho’s abilities in one-on-one situations but City are still eyeing another winger. The club has shown interest in Bayern Munich’s Kingsley Coman, with reports suggesting Bayern would be open to loaning him to City with an option to buy. However, with City already having wide options like Oscar Bobb, Jeremy Doku, and Jack Grealish, acquiring Coman may not be necessary.
Coman, who has had a successful career at Bayern Munich with multiple titles, struggled with injuries last season but has a contract until 2027. Despite being described as a “super” player by his coach, the addition of Savinho and other wingers in City’s squad makes a move for Coman seem less urgent. Guardiola’s side may not need to pursue Coman given their current roster and options in the wide positions.
