Manchester City full-back Joao Cancelo has been hoping to secure a move to Barcelona after falling out with manager Pep Guardiola over game time. Despite a loan spell at Bayern Munich and a previous season at Barcelona, it seems that Cancelo may not get the transfer he desires due to the club’s reservations about his high wage demands and past behaviors. Barcelona has removed Cancelo from their official website, signaling a potential end to their pursuit of the player.
It has also been reported that Al-Hilal, a Saudi club, is interested in signing Cancelo, and Juventus may also be a potential destination. If Cancelo realizes that Barcelona is no longer pursuing him, he may consider a move to Al-Hilal or another club. Cancelo has been back at Manchester City for the 2024/25 season, but has not been included in recent matches, indicating a possible departure from the club.
