Manchester City and Luton Town are gearing up to discover their opponents for the quarter-finals of the Emirates FA Cup. The plans for the next stage of the competition have been confirmed, with Manchester City set to face Luton Town on Tuesday night in the fifth round.
Pep Guardiola’s side will travel to Kenilworth Road for the first time in the Emirates FA Cup since 1969. Manchester City, who are currently on an unbeaten streak of 17 matches across all competitions, are looking to continue their treble defense with a victory over Luton.
In their previous meeting in the Premier League in December, Manchester City came from behind to beat Luton. Phil Foden has been in fine form, scoring in all three of City’s past away matches, including the winning goal against Bournemouth.
On the other hand, Luton Town hasn’t won a game since January and are coming off a 4-1 loss to Liverpool. The upcoming quarter-final draw for the Emirates FA Cup will take place on Wednesday, February 28th, with live coverage on ITV4.
Quarter-final ties are scheduled to be played across the weekend of Saturday, March 16th. Manchester City or Luton Town will be ball number 8 in the draw, and they could potentially face teams like Blackburn Rovers, Chelsea, Leicester City, Liverpool, Manchester United, Brighton & Hove Albion, and Coventry City in the next stage of the competition.
Fans can also follow live updates on social media platforms such as Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube for the latest news and reactions to the draw. The excitement is building as the Emirates FA Cup progresses towards the thrilling quarter-final stage.
