Manchester City are reportedly ‘not prepared’ to sell Bernardo Silva for anything less than €100M this summer amid interest from Spanish giants Barcelona.

The Portugal international has been heavily linked with a move to Barcelona this summer. Silva is believed to be pushing for the move and Pep Guardiola admitted last week that he does not know whether the midfielder will be at the Etihad beyond the end of the window.

The constant claims from the Nou Camp that the Catalan club expect to snatch Silva away to La Liga have not gone down well at the Etihad.

Silva has failed to quell speculation that he wants to be sold. But even if he now informs City that he wants to leave and Barcelona somehow come up with the money that the champions will demand, his departure appears unlikely.

According to The Athletic, Manchester City ‘won’t budge a millimetre’ from their valuation of Silva, which was around €100M at the start of the summer.

Barcelona’s interest is ‘growing’ but they are yet to make a ‘formal offer’ for the midfielder, so it appears that his immediate future lies with Man City.

The report was shared on Twitter by City Xtra and it attracted plenty of attention from the club’s supporters.

“This is good news, we showed on the weekend so much love to Bernardo and he’s obviously loved in the dressing room. Unless a £85m+ bid comes in i highly doubt he goes.”

“All good. This, combined with KDB’s comically blunt quotes, plus the huge show of love he got from the fans at the weekend, and i’m relaxed now. Can’t see this happening.”
