Manchester City boasts a squad filled with top-level players, evident through their success in recent years and the large number of players represented in the 2024 European Championship. Newcastle United winger Anthony Gordon expressed his desire to sign Kevin De Bruyne from City, citing the midfielder’s ability to create scoring opportunities as a key factor. De Bruyne’s impressive record of 102 goals and 170 assists in 382 appearances for City, including the second-highest number of assists in Premier League history, makes him a desirable addition to any team, not just Gordon’s.
Gordon is not the only individual who has expressed interest in having De Bruyne as a teammate, as Newcastle legend Alan Shearer has also mentioned his admiration for the Belgian midfielder. Given De Bruyne’s track record of providing significant goal contributions from the midfield, it is no surprise that players like Gordon and Shearer, as well as numerous others, would welcome the opportunity to have him join their team.
