Former Manchester City player Angelino continue to lambast Pep Guardiola for destroying his Confidence by never really giving him a proper chance during his time at the Etihad.
In 2018, Angelino was sold to PSV Eindhoven, only for Guardiola to buy him back a year later. Then, after failing to nail down a place in City first team, he was shipped off to RB Leipzig on loan before the deal was made permanent.
The fleet-footed Spanish left back signed a four-year contract with Leipzig last month, committing his future to the club that believed in his abilities. The 24-year-old held nothing back in an interview in february after leaving Man City permanently.
German newspaper BILD last month provided Quote of Angelino blaming Guardiola for killing his confidence by not having the courage to put him in the starting XI.
“Pep killed me and my self-confidence. After my move from Eindhoven back to Manchester City he had already passed his judgement on me in two games and didn’t give me a real chance after that. That’s why I was happy to be loaned to Leipzig in the first place…” he said as quoted by BILD.

In an interview ahead of their second leg Champions League tie with Liverpool on Wednesday, Angelino continue to hit back at Guardiola for killing his self-confidence while talking on the difference between Julian Nagelsmann and Manchester City boss.
“One gave me confidence and played me, the other didn’t,” he told Skysports.
“I think it is the approach he has to the players. He is very close to every player. He is very direct. When he needs to speak to you he does. Also, he is very friendly. Or at least with me,” he goes on to elaborate on a relationship that has altered the trajectory of his career.
“I feel like we have a good relationship. He gave me his trust and his confidence since the first day. It was something that pushed me. He gave me a massive push in my career.
“When someone believes that much in you and keeps playing you, you have to pay them back. I am very happy that I can keep working with him, hopefully for a long time.”
The versatile full-back has rediscovered his self-belief and become core to RB Leipzig’s domestic and European ambitions.
In reaction to Angelino’s claim shared on Twitter by City Xtra, many Man City fans have been expressing their thoughts and opinions.

Can't understand why he would even say this. His playing didn't suit Pep's way, so now he plays for an inferior club where his inferior play is more suited.

This guy is losing every city fans respect for him. The attitude stinks @angel_tasende69

He’s a good player but he needs to stop complaining. Look what Pep did with Foden. Angelino would be twice the player he is now if he was patient.

I don't know what happened in training. Everyone needed 1 season to adapt. City has had no luck with natural left backs but Cancelo and Zinchenko are playing at a high level

This guy needs to get over the fact that he wasn't up to standard and move on. He was a joke at left back when he did get game time.
