Manchester City have started the Premier League season strong, scoring eight goals and only conceding two in their first three games. Despite winning four titles in a row, the team does not seem to lack motivation as they aim to remain the team to beat. Bernardo Silva’s claim that Arsenal will be title contenders has perhaps spurred the team to start the season quickly and efficiently. Erling Haaland has been a key player in City’s success so far, impressing with his finishing skills and a newfound ability to use both feet effectively.
Alan Shearer praised Haaland for a subtle piece of skill in City’s win against West Ham, highlighting the striker’s balance and power in shifting the ball from his right to left foot. Haaland seems to be working on using his weaker foot more often this season, as seen in his goals against West Ham and Chelsea. His improvement in this aspect of his game could further enhance his already impressive finishing abilities and contribute to City’s title charge as the season progresses.
