The Portuguese midfielder, who still has three years left on his current £150,000-a-week contract with the English champions, has been linked with a move to Barcelona during the transfer window.
Throughout this summer there has been constant speculation surrounding Silva’s future – with Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain chasing his services.
Even though we are just Ten days away from the end of the ongoing summer transfer window, Barcelona have not given up their hopes of signing Bernardo Silva but that looks unlikely now, according to the latest reports.
According to the Daily Star, Bernardo Silva is to be offered a massive new deal by Manchester City to persuade the star to commit to the club long-term.
As per the report, Pep Guardiola sees Bernardo as a vital cog within his squad and has told the club to reward that importance with a bumper, double-his-money extension.
