Manchester City is looking to make sales to finalize the futures of players who want to leave the club, with a player potentially moving to another European club. Rarely does a player demanding an exit stay at the Etihad Stadium, as seen with Ferran Torres’ sale to Barcelona in 2022. Guardiola prefers a small squad, and City is open to doing business in January for players looking to leave.

Yan Couto’s future at Manchester City is uncertain, with reports of a potential move to Borussia Dortmund for €25 million. Journalist Patrick Berger shared that Couto is ready to travel with his bags packed, waiting for negotiations between the two clubs. Dortmund is looking to pay an initial fee of €20 million followed by €5 million for a loan deal, while City is open to concessions on the fee for a permanent transfer.

Discussions between Manchester City and Borussia Dortmund are ongoing, with City looking to sell Couto permanently and Dortmund interested in a loan deal with an option to buy. City can only send six players on loan and are keeping one spot open for another player. Couto is expected to join Dortmund’s training camp in Switzerland if the transfer is finalized.
