Manchester City have lost their latest Premier League game against Liverpool at Anfield.Manchester City fell to a 2-0 defeat against the Reds, in a result that will surprise very few people. It was a familiar story as in recent weeks. City showed a real fear against Liverpool, and made defensive errors.Liverpool dominated the first-half, and in truth should have been out of sight.
They went in 1-0 up after a goal by Cody Gakpo, brilliantly set up by Mo Salah. City were just second-best all over the pitch, and barely created anything all afternoon.In the second-half, City probed a bit more but could not breach a backline that had a rock-solid Virgil van Dijk in it. There were very few positives at all today.
Perhaps the cameo of Jeremy Doku was a small one. But a lot of fans have been talking about Kevin De Bruyne, and how little game time he got today.
