Kyle Walker would have especially frustrated after Manchester City lost 2-0 to Liverpool in what is now their fourth consecutive Premier League defeat. Walker’s thoughts on facing Liverpool in the build-up to Sunday’s contest were that it was a “must-win” game.
As a result, the Manchester City right-back would have been devastated to witness that his team did not even remotely look like they could stage a comeback at any point of the game. Walker argued with Bernardo Silva and Ruben Dias within 14 minutes of the encounter as he seemed irate at the nature of Cody Gakpo’s early goal.
Walker’s message to Manchester City supporters after the contest was to support them during their lowest point in years while guaranteeing that the team will fight until the very end. Kyle Walker perhaps felt the need to express his feelings on City’s struggles by communicating with the fans as the captain of the club.
