Jeremy Doku and Erling Haaland played key roles in Manchester City’s 3-0 win against Nottingham Forest. Doku and Haaland linked up for City’s third goal of the night and quite often, both players looked on the verge of joining forces to punish Forest.
In the second half, the Belgian played an excellent driven cross in the Manchester City striker’s path. However, Doku’s pinpoint cross was cleared off the line before Haaland could tap the ball into the back of the net.
Pep Guardiola’s men put in an exciting attacking performance where all their forward-thinking players thrived. Apart from the aforementioned pair, even Kevin De Bruyne, Jack Grealish and Bernardo Silva shone against Nottingham Forest. De Bruyne lauded Doku’s display in the aftermath of the contest as well.
