Manchester City were dealt a demoralising blow on Saturday evening in their first Premier League match since the November international break came to an end.
After getting knocked out of the Carabao Cup by Tottenham Hotspur last month, City then lost their following three matches leading up to the final international period of 2024. Unfortunately, that break did not seem to be particularly beneficial for Pep Guardiola’s side, as they were beaten 4-0 by Spurs at the Etihad Stadium.
Having now fallen to five consecutive defeats across all competitions, a key figure in City’s squad has opened up about the team’s next steps and their upcoming fixtures.
