Manchester City and Atletico Madrid are reportedly interested in making January bids for Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic, as Juve look to offload players to free up their wage bill. Vlahovic currently earns €12m a year and his contract runs until 2026, prompting discussions about his future with the club.
Juventus are hoping Vlahovic will agree to lower his salary to stay in Turin, but they are wary of the risk of losing him on a free transfer. Previous reports have linked the Serbian striker to Premier League clubs like Arsenal and Chelsea, with interest also coming from Atletico Madrid. City’s interest in Vlahovic makes sense as they seek reinforcements up front.
Although Vlahovic may not be guaranteed a starting spot at City due to competition from Erling Haaland, the Serbian striker’s physical attributes and playing style make him a suitable option for the team. Given City’s need for depth in the forward position, Vlahovic could be a valuable addition to their squad for the 2024/2025 season.
