Manchester City easily defeated Sparta Prague in their recent Champions League match, with Matheus Nunes putting in a standout performance. Erling Haaland scored two goals as City dominated the Czech team at the Etihad Stadium. Despite initially going behind, Sparta tried to resist and threaten on the break, but City stepped up their game in the second half to secure a 5-0 victory.
Nunes, who was given a start by Guardiola due to injuries, impressed with his performance from the left wing. Former City defender Joleon Lescott praised Nunes for his professionalism and adaptability, noting that he posed a different threat on the pitch. With injuries creating an opportunity for Nunes to increase his playing time, City fans hope he can continue to showcase his talents and contribute more to the team’s success with his pace and technical skills.
