Pep Guardiola has overseen significant player recruitment at Manchester City since he took over as manager in 2016, with Kevin De Bruyne being the only player remaining from before his arrival. With Guardiola’s contract set to expire at the end of the season, the club is reportedly looking to make a move for Bayern Munich star Jamal Musiala in an effort to convince the Spaniard to sign a new deal and stay beyond 2025. Musiala, who has been described as an “exceptional” player, has been a target for City in the recent transfer window and would be a valuable addition to the squad.
At 21 years old, Musiala has an impressive record of 44 goals and 31 assists in 166 senior appearances for Bayern. Despite reported interest from other clubs, including Manchester United, Musiala could be a key signing for Guardiola and City in the upcoming transfer window. Whether Guardiola signs a contract extension or not, pursuing Musiala should be a priority for Manchester City as they look to strengthen their squad for the future and potentially secure Guardiola’s tenure at the club.
