Romeo Lavia reflects on his time as a Manchester City player as he prepares for his second season at Chelsea. Despite being limited to just one appearance last season due to injuries, Lavia is hopeful for a better campaign this time around. The midfielder moved to Chelsea from Southampton in 2022 after impressing at the club and training alongside top players like Rodri, Fernandinho, Kevin de Bruyne, Ilkay Gundogan, and Bernardo Silva at City.
Although Lavia didn’t quite make it to Guardiola’s first-team squad at City, he learned a lot from training with world-class players. Now, he is eager to shine at Chelsea and build on his success at Southampton. Training with top defensive midfielders like Rodri and Fernandinho has sharpened his skills, and he is determined to make the most of his time at Stamford Bridge.
