Manchester City is looking to win another Premier League title in the upcoming season after winning a sixth top-flight trophy in seven years in the previous campaign. The team, managed by Pep Guardiola, became the first side to win four consecutive league titles, with an impressive record of 28 wins, 7 draws, and 3 losses across 38 games, scoring the most goals in the division. Ahead of the new season, former City player Micah Richards believes City will win the title if Erling Haaland stays fit, highlighting the importance of the striker in their success.
Haaland, despite missing part of the previous season due to injury, scored 27 goals in 31 league appearances and played a key role in City’s title win. Described as “driven” by teammate Ruben Dias, Haaland’s goal-scoring abilities will be crucial for City’s success. If he can avoid serious injuries and continue to score goals, he will be a significant factor in City’s quest for another title. Richards emphasized the importance of Haaland’s fitness in determining City’s chances in the title race, suggesting that other contenders, like Arsenal, could challenge if the striker is unavailable.
