Manchester City winger Oscar Bobb has suffered a leg fracture and is expected to be out of action for an extended period of time. The injury, which is believed to have occurred during a training session, may require Bobb to undergo additional tests to determine an exact timeline for his return. City are hopeful that the 21-year-old could be back before the end of the year.
Bobb was reportedly set to start for City in their first Premier League match against Chelsea before his injury. Manager Pep Guardiola has been impressed with Bobb’s potential, praising his attributes and stating that he has the ability to play at the highest level. Following a strong showing in pre-season, Bobb was expected to be part of the first-team setup for the upcoming season.
Guardiola had already expressed a desire to strengthen City’s forward line before Bobb’s injury, with talks reportedly underway with Eberechi Eze’s representatives and Rodrygo’s situation at Real Madrid being monitored. City may look to make additions to their squad before the transfer window closes to compensate for Bobb’s absence.
