Journalist Mario Cortegana shared an update suggesting that City could be interested in signing Rodrygo, with Guardiola reportedly a big admirer of the Brazilian. However, Rodrygo’s camp insists he will stay at Real Madrid for at least one more season, and the club does not expect a bid from City. With City already having plenty of wide options in their squad, it may not be necessary for them to pursue a move for Rodrygo this summer.

Rodrygo has been valued at €120m by Real Madrid and has impressed with his performances, scoring 54 goals and providing 41 assists in 216 appearances for the club. While he may be a talented player worth pursuing in the future, City should focus on their current squad and potentially revisit their interest in Rodrygo in the future. It seems unlikely that a bid will be made for him this summer, especially with the player’s camp indicating his intention to stay at Real Madrid for now.
