Manchester City have seen several players leave during the summer transfer window, with names like Sergio Gomez, Julian Alvarez, Taylor Harwood-Bellis, Tommy Doyle, Micah Hamilton, and Liam Delap all making moves. Fabrizio Romano revealed Everton’s interest in signing Kalvin Phillips from City, with the midfielder potentially looking for more playing time. Guardiola has described Phillips as a “really good” player, and with limited minutes at City, a move to Everton on loan or permanently could be the best solution for him.
Phillips spent time on loan at West Ham United last season and didn’t feature in City’s recent Community Shield victory. Everton’s interest in him could provide the Englishman with the opportunity for consistent playing time. While there is interest from the Toffees, a deal is not yet advanced, and it remains to be seen if Phillips will ultimately make the move away from the Etihad Stadium this summer.
