Manchester City are actively looking for midfielders to add to their squad this summer. While earlier reports linked them with players from across Europe, they are now considering options from the Premier League as well. Despite Dani Olmo’s impressive performances at the European Championships, he is not on City’s radar.
Newcastle United’s Bruno Guimaraes and Bayern Munich’s Joshua Kimmich are likely targets for Manchester City in the coming weeks. The club is also looking at Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder Joao Gomes, but the player is not currently interested in a move. Wolves have stated that they will only consider offers for Gomes if they are too good to turn down.
Gomes has quickly risen in the European game and has made an impact with both Wolverhampton Wanderers and the Brazilian national team. While City and Wolves have already been involved in transfer activity this summer, it remains to be seen if a deal for Gomes will materialize, given his recent success and his reluctance to move at this time.
