Reports from Brazil have shut down the possibility of Manchester City’s goalkeeper Ederson moving to Saudi Arabia this summer, with Al-Nassr being a serious contender. The potential move could see Ederson’s pay package increase significantly to over £500,000 a week.

In preparation for Ederson’s potential departure, Manchester City has been exploring options for their goalkeeping positions. One name that has emerged is Brazilian youth international Mycael, who has been attracting interest from two Premier League clubs. However, despite the interest, there has been no consultation from Manchester City so far regarding the goalkeeper.

If Ederson does leave, Manchester City officials may promote Stefan Ortega into the number one role. Ortega has proven himself in previous seasons when called upon due to injuries, showing his ability in key matches against top teams. The uncertainty surrounding Ederson’s future has led Manchester City to consider their options for the goalkeeping position.
