The City Football Academy are plotting a move for Everton goalkeeper Douglas Lukjanciks, but face Premier League competition for the teenager’s signature.
Manchester City have had notable goalkeeping success over the past decade, with Pep Guardiola having both Ederson and Stefan Ortega at his disposal within the first-team, and the likes of James Trafford and Gavin Bazunu enjoying success away from the Etihad Stadium after coming through the academy set-up.
Trafford, who could join Newcastle United this summer, moved to Burnley in a £19 million deal last July, after impressing Vincent Kompany and Turf Moor bosses during a loan spell at Bolton Wanderers.
