Manchester City and England player Jack Grealish has been fined for speeding at 44mph in a 30mph zone in Worcestershire last year, resulting in a three-figure fine and five penalty points on his driving license. The incident occurred on 17 July, 2023, when Grealish was caught by a mobile camera at Station Road, Wythall, while driving a Range Rover Sport.

Grealish, who did not appear in court but pleaded guilty through his barrister, was ordered to pay £666 for speeding, as well as £110 in court costs and a victim surcharge of £266, totaling to £1,042. The maximum penalty for the offence was £1,000, reduced to £666 after his guilty plea. Grealish’s barrister expressed his remorse on behalf of the player and apologized for the mistake.

Despite the incident, Grealish remains focused on his Manchester City duties as they aim for a record-breaking fourth successive Premier League title and a domestic double through the FA Cup. His barrister clarified that Grealish meant no disrespect by not appearing in person and that he can afford to pay the fine. The player is now looking to move forward and concentrate on his professional football commitments.
