Manchester City is considering signing 19-year-old Russian forward Sergey Pinyaev, who has previously been a trialist at Manchester United. He is part of a series of potential deals for young talent by the City Football Group, with other players like Claudio Echeverri and Cavan Sullivan also linked with moves to the Etihad Stadium. Pinyaev currently plays for Lokomotiv Moscow in the Russian Premier League and has attracted interest from clubs across Europe.

Despite interest from other clubs like Chelsea, Liverpool, and Borussia Dortmund, Manchester City seems to be leading the race to sign Pinyaev. However, any direct move to England may be blocked by the UK Government due to the political situation involving Russia. It is suggested that a possible workaround could involve a deal being completed by a sister club within the City Football Group network, allowing Pinyaev to potentially still sign for Manchester City.

Pinyaev has been in good form this season, being directly involved in eight goals in the Russian Premier League. His potential transfer fee is estimated to be around £26 million. While there are obstacles to a direct move to England, Manchester City remains in the mix to secure the young forward’s services, with a deal through their network of clubs being a potential avenue.
