Former Manchester City defender Eric Garcia has reflected on his time at the club, describing it as a dream come true. Garcia started in City’s youth academy in 2017 before making his debut for the first team in 2018.
Despite establishing himself as a first-choice centre-back alongside Aymeric Laporte, Garcia rejected a contract extension with City and returned to Barcelona in 2021. However, after struggling at Barcelona and being loaned to Girona, Garcia scored his first goal in a 2-1 win over Villarreal during the ongoing season.
In a recent interview, Garcia expressed gratitude for his time at Manchester City, where he developed from the youth academy to the first team. Despite leaving City, Garcia described his experiences at the club as invaluable and a dream come true at a young age.
