Real Madrid is targeting Manchester City midfielder Bernardo Silva as a summer transfer. Despite missing a penalty in the Champions League shootout, Silva scored the winning goal in the FA Cup semi-final against Chelsea. The 29-year-old’s potential departure from Manchester City is fueled by growing transfer interest from clubs across Europe, including Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain.
With a £50 million release clause, Silva’s move to Real Madrid could be a possibility as they see him as a potential replacement for Luka Modric. Barcelona’s financial issues may hinder their chances of signing the midfielder. Despite interest from other clubs and a contract with Manchester City until 2026, Silva’s future in England is uncertain as he considers a move abroad.
In addition to interest from Real Madrid, Silva has also been pursued by clubs in the Saudi Pro League and his boyhood club Benfica. However, the high price tag attached to the Portuguese midfielder may complicate any potential transfer. As the end of the season approaches, Silva’s future in England and potential move to Real Madrid remain topics of speculation.
