Recruitment bosses at Manchester City find the asking price for Wolves player Pedro Neto to be excessive. City are admirers of Neto’s talents and are looking to reshape their squad during the upcoming summer transfer market. They are open to new options in various positions on the pitch, including players who can be versatile across multiple roles.
Despite their admiration for Neto, Manchester City would have to spend a significant amount of money to acquire him, as Wolves have set an outstanding valuation of €94 million/£80 million for the player. Neto’s injury record is also seen as a problem by City, but a potential move to Manchester City in the summer is still a possibility, although they are unlikely to meet Wolves’ current asking price.
Manchester City recently strengthened their forward line with the signing of Jeremy Doku last summer, but the Belgium international has had a mixed start to life at the club. It is unclear how Neto would fit into City’s existing operation if he were to be signed, but their good relationship with Wolves could work in their favor if they decide to pursue Neto more seriously.
