Manchester City have expressed interest in signing 34-year-old Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos. The Premier League club sees Kroos as a valuable addition to their squad and have enquired about his availability. Despite his age, Kroos remains a key player for Real Madrid and has been a consistent performer in their midfield since joining the club in 2014.
Pep Guardiola, the manager of Manchester City, is a big admirer of Kroos and appreciates his ability to control the tempo of the game. During a recent Champions League match against Real Madrid, representatives from City asked about Kroos’ contractual situation, but Real Madrid president Florentino Perez made it clear that the German midfielder will be staying at the club for another year. Kroos himself is reported to only want to play for Los Blancos or else he may retire.
Real Madrid is confident that Kroos will continue at the club, especially with veteran midfielder Luka Modric potentially leaving at the end of the season. Despite interest from other clubs, it seems likely that Kroos will remain at Real Madrid and continue to be a key figure in their squad. His experience and influence in the dressing room make him a valuable asset for the Spanish giants.
