Pictures of Manchester City’s new home shirt for the 2024/25 season have been leaked, revealing a classic sky blue design with navy collar and sleeve cuffs, along with white logos. One standout feature is the graffiti-inspired 0161 graphic on the collar and sleeves, paying homage to the club’s area code. However, reactions from supporters on social media have been largely negative, with comments criticizing the design and calling for a change in kit designers from Puma.

The 2024/25 home kit is seen as a downgrade from the previous season’s design, which was widely praised for its classic look. Puma’s attempt to stand out with the garish 0161 graphic has instead divided opinion and deterred some fans from purchasing the new shirt. Fans are eagerly awaiting the official unveiling of the kit, which is expected to be announced around the same time as the previous season’s launch on May 19th.

Puma has been Manchester City’s kit manufacturer since 2019, taking over from Nike, and pays £65m annually for the rights to produce the club’s kits. Their contract is set to run until the end of the 2028/29 campaign, raising questions about the future of the partnership following the mixed reactions to the latest design.
