Juventus was interested in signing Manchester City outcast Kalvin Phillips but ultimately lost out to West Ham. Phillips struggled to make an impact at City, leading to his decision to seek other opportunities to secure a spot in the England squad for the upcoming European Championships. However, Juventus does not regret missing out on signing Phillips and actually feels like they may have dodged a bullet by not securing his services.
Phillips has made just 20 appearances across the season with Manchester City and West Ham, scoring one goal in the UEFA Champions League. With the summer transfer window approaching, City officials are likely to facilitate a permanent exit for Phillips. He may consider a return to Leeds United if they secure promotion back to the Premier League. West Ham will now aim to improve the feeling around Phillips as they prepare for his return to the Etihad Stadium in the summer.
