Bayern Munich continues to have an interest in signing Manchester City and England full-back Kyle Walker during the upcoming summer transfer window. The 33-year-old recently signed a new contract with City until 2026, but Bayern had previously been keen on acquiring the player last summer. Walker, who joined City from Tottenham in 2017, has become a key player for the team and was made captain for the 2023/24 season.
Despite injuries, Walker has continued to perform well for Manchester City, helping the team reach the FA Cup Final and perform in the Champions League. His future with the team beyond this season remains uncertain, with both Bayern Munich and Saudi Pro League clubs still expressing interest in signing him. In addition to Walker, other City players like Kevin De Bruyne and Joao Cancelo are also being targeted by clubs in Saudi Arabia, following the likes of Aymeric Laporte and Riyad Mahrez who made the move last year. This summer transfer window could see significant changes for Manchester City’s squad.
