John Stones’ latest injury setback ahead of Manchester City’s clash with Arsenal
Details have emerged surrounding John Stones’ latest injury setback as Manchester City prepares to face Arsenal on Sunday. The Englishman suffered a fitness issue during England’s match against Belgium, being withdrawn early on. It is believed he may have injured his ankle or a muscle while trying to turn on the ball.
Concerns are high over Stones’ availability for upcoming fixtures for Pep Guardiola’s side. However, a report from Wembley Stadium after the match suggested Stones was walking okay, offering some encouragement to City supporters.
Updates on Stones’ injury are expected from Guardiola’s press conference on Friday. Updates on Kyle Walker, Manuel Akanji, and Matheus Nunes’ foot injury will also be provided.
Manchester City will begin preparations for the Arsenal match on Thursday, with the squad returning to England on Wednesday.
