Norway’s team doctor is confident that Manchester City striker Erling Haaland will be ready to play for his country during the upcoming international break. Despite limping out of training earlier in the week after hitting a shot at goal, the doctor assured that there are no concerns regarding Haaland’s fitness.
Norway is set to face the Czech Republic in a friendly on Friday, with another match against Slovakia scheduled for next Tuesday. Manchester City fans will be eager to see if Haaland participates in both games and hopes he remains injury-free.
The international break comes at a challenging time for City, who will return to Premier League action against title rivals Arsenal shortly after. Manager Pep Guardiola will be hoping that no more players suffer injuries like Haaland over the break.
Two City players, Kevin De Bruyne and Ederson, are currently dealing with muscular injuries, and the break could provide them with much-needed time to recover. Guardiola expects De Bruyne to be fit to face Arsenal, while Ederson’s status remains uncertain.
On the other hand, Arsenal faces concerns with several players’ fitness, including Bukayo Saka, Gabriel, and Gabriel Martinelli. It remains to be seen how their injuries progress leading up to the crucial clash with Manchester City. Overall, both teams will be anxiously monitoring their players’ conditions during the international break.
