Manchester City is looking to sign Antonee Robinson from Fulham in the summer transfer window, following the departure of Joao Cancelo on loan to Barcelona. Robinson has emerged as one of the best left-backs in the Premier League and has impressed with his performances for Fulham. City have already contacted his representatives to secure a deal for around £29.9 million to £34.4 million.
Robinson’s addition would provide City with a natural left-back option, allowing them to field three attacking midfielders in possession. His ability to hold the width on the left-hand side and provide dangerous crosses would complement City’s attacking style and tactics. While there may be questions about his ability to make the step up to a top team like Manchester City, his profile suggests he could be a good fit for Pep Guardiola’s side.
Fulham are reportedly preparing for Robinson’s exit and have identified Leonardo Spinazzola from AS Roma as a potential replacement. Robinson’s performance during Fulham’s win over Tottenham Hotspur showcased his quality and importance to the team. If City can secure his signature in the summer, it could provide the team with a valuable addition and strengthen their left-back position.
