Manchester City’s upcoming pre-season tour for the 2024/25 summer has been announced in a recent report from The Athletic. Following their successful tour in Asia, the club will now be heading to the USA for their pre-season preparations.
During their tour of far-east Asia, Manchester City played warm-up matches in Japan and South Korea against Yokohama F. Marinos, Bayern Munich, and Atletico Madrid. This tour was a way for the club to reward their following in Asia and expand their market in that region.
While the 2023/24 season is only halfway through and City is still focused on securing more silverware, preparations for the upcoming pre-season tour are in progress. According to The Athletic’s Adam Crafton, Pep Guardiola and his squad will be traveling to the USA for their pre-season ahead of the 2024/25 campaign. There are also discussions with Chelsea for a potential all-Premier League friendly match while in the US.
This won’t be Manchester City’s first visit to the United States as they recently played two matches against Club America and Bayern Munich in Houston and Green Bay respectively. This visit gave the American community the first sight of Erling Haaland in the club’s colors after he completed a move from Borussia Dortmund.
It is anticipated that Manchester City officials will be busy in the upcoming summer transfer window, potentially refreshing Pep Guardiola’s star-studded first-team playing squad. So, US supporters might have the chance to see some new signings in action during the upcoming pre-season tour.
